Did you know that St. Margaret's Community Nurses travel over 65,000 miles in a year so local people can be cared for in their own homes? By organising a Fuel Lunch you can help our Community Nurses travel to a patient in need.
Organising a fuel lunch could not be easier, it's just about inviting a group of your friends round for lunch with the purpose of supporting a Community Nurse.
We calculate that it costs approximately £60 each week to keep one of our Community Nurses on the road. We hope that through holding a Fuel Lunch you will be able to raise this amount to fund one of our nurses' fuel for a week.
We have prepared special Fuel Lunch invitations which you can use to send to your friends meaning all you have to do is write your date on them, drop them in an envelope and post them.
We have also prepared lots of fundraising ideas to help you and your friends raise as much money as you can whilst having lunch. These ideas range from holding a raffle, to all your guests coming on foot and donating what they would have otherwise spent on travel!
