A Gift in your Will – leave a legacy for the future of St Margaret’s
Leaving a gift to St Margaret's will help to secure the future of our specialist care for others and allow us to be there if someone you know needs our care and support in the future.
With improved treatment, more people are living longer with their terminal illness and so demand for our services continues to grow. We rely heavily on legacies to provide our on-going services.
That is why we are asking you to consider supporting our work by remembering St Margaret’s in your will.
A Gift in Your Will
St Margaret’s relies on legacies for about 20% of the money we need each year to provide specialist care for your community..
Your legacy will help St Margaret’s to continue providing the highest standards of hospice care to patients, families and carers. It will help us to develop our services further and to plan for the future
What can I leave in my Will?
Many people choose to leave something to St Margaret’s when they die as a sign of their support for or appreciation of our work. Legacies provide much-needed income for the Hospice and any gift will help. You may choose to leave a share of your estate, a specific amount of money, business shares, jewellery, a specific item or items or a house. All of these attract excellent tax advantages for the Hospice. If you do choose to make a gift in your Will to St Margaret’s, your donation will be free from Inheritance Tax liability.
