St. Margaret's Hospice is so much a part of the fabric of our community and held in such high esteem by all those who come in contact with it, that there is a real danger that the work that we do, every day and night, is taken for granted; that people believe we will always be there.
St Margaret's is a charity that listens to the people that we serve. When those who need our help tell us they want to be cared for at home, with their friends and family present, that is what we do. If we are asked to come in at night and sit with someone so that their family can rest; that is what we do. We never charge or ask money.
How you can help
We raise funds in all manner of ways in order to deliver the service in the way it is needed most.
Of these, the legacy - money that is left to St. Margaret's in a Will - is the one which in St. Margaret's produces the warmest sense of something shared by the giver and the receiver; that sense of caring so much about others during your life that is carried over; offering a chance for people with a limited life expentancy to live their lives pain free with dignity and quality.
There are three main types of gift that you can make in your Will:
- Pecuniary Legacy
- Residuary Legacy
- Specific Legacy
