Celebrating Life Fund

The St Margaret’s Celebrating Life Fund is a simple way of celebrating, or commemorating, the life of someone very special to you.

Tribute flower heartSt. Margaret’s often receives donations of this sort – from family, friends or work colleagues. Often these donations are made at special times of the year, birthdays, anniversaries and at Christmas time. Our Celebrating Life Funds have been designed to channel donations, of any size, into a fund set up in the name of your special person. And all the time you will be helping St. Margaret’s continue its vital work. There are many ways to donate – simply chose what is best for you and we will keep you regularly updated about your Celebrating Life Fund.

Some examples of how the fund works:

Donald Robbins set up a Celebrating Life Fund for his wife Clare

"My wife regularly visits the day care centre at St Margaret’s. I wanted to channel my support towards the wonderful care she receives into setting up the Clare Robbins Celebrating Life Fund. It is really fun to raise donations for Clare as she is such an incredible person. It is also good to know that our gifts get put towards such a great charity".

Molly Wharton set up a Celebrating Life Fund for her Aunt Flora.

"We wanted to find a way of celebrating the life of Auntie Flora. Setting up a Celebrating Life Fund with St Margaret’s enabled us to do just that. We are remembering Flora in a positive way by donating to St. Margaret’s and we are also helping others to be cared for by them.

We have all contributed to the funds in different ways. When we got married my husband and I chose to give donations in lieu of wedding presents; my mum gives a monthly standing order and Flora’s best friend has done a sponsored walk. Even her old workplace had a coffee morning to contribute towards ‘The Flora Wharton Celebrating Life Fund'.

The fund has become a really special way of celebrating Auntie Flora’s life and it keeps her memory alive".
