The Start
You may start from any of the registration points on the diagram.
The start from Taunton and Yeovil is from 7:00am and the other points from 8:30am. Walkers need to start by 3:00pm.
You will be given a 'passport' to be stamped at each registration point and route instructions for the next section. There will be no maps. Do bring your own O.S. Map (128/129) if you wish.
Stopping Early
If you wish to stop early please inform a marshal at a registration point or telephone Central Control on the Emergency Number, which is on your route instructions.
Finishing the Walk
Yeovil and Taunton registration points will close at 7:00pm. The others will close at 6:00pm. Please report to the marshals, have your passport stamped and collect your certificate. The provision of refreshments, first-aid and transport will cease at 6:00pm.
Late Finishers
Please inform Central Control by ringing the number on your route instructions. We can then send you a certificate.
Car Parking
This is free and very near to each registration point.
The organisers cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal effects, personal accident or any public liability.
Wheelchairs/Pushchairs
The accessible route is 5.5 miles from St. Margaret's Hospice in Taunton to one mile beyond Creech St. Michael on the Taunton/Bridgwater Canal.
Refreshments
Water and other soft drinks will be available at each registration point. Do bring your own picnic and water supplies. There are 14 pubs and/or cafes en route. Opening hours and phone numbers will be on your passport.
Toilets
Toilets are available at each registration point.
Transport
Please make your own arrangements. From 11:00am to 6:00pm, volunteer drivers will provide limited transport between each registration point. Please make a donation to cover costs. After 6:00pm you are responsible for making your own way.
First Aid
This will be available at certain points along the route.
