This Saturday there is an exciting Blackdown Hills Arty Garden Party / Art & Craft Fair from 12 to 4pm at Ashculme House, near Hemyock, by kind invitation of Judith & James Calderbank.
There will be locally made Pottery, Paintings, Jewellery, Pyjama Bottoms (imported !), Bunting and all sorts of other things.
Yummy Lunch things available and also Cream Tea and Strawberries in the pretty country garden. If it rains, there are plenty of under-cover areas, house and barn-cum-studio. Or just bring your wellies and brollies – much more fun than sitting at home watching the rain!
Ashculme House will be signposted. From Wellington go to the top of the hill, following Hemyock signs. Cross over road running along hill, and go through Simmonsborrow. Turn left at post box, down hill to Ashculme. Just at bottom of the steep bit of hill turn left and keep straight along long drive to house.
