Milton Lodge Gardens open to raise funds for St. Margaret’s

The gardens of Milton Lodge, on the outskirts of Wells will be open on Saturday July 19th from 2pm.

Volunteers with St.Margaret’s Hospice will be serving delicious cream teas to raise funds for the hospice as part of the annual “Tea at Three” event.

The architectural terraces on the sloping site were created in 1906 by the grandfather of the current owner and capitalise on the glorious panoramic views over Wells, the beautiful Cathedral and the Vale of Avalon. The mature gardens and arboretum are full of charm.

The gardens are rarely open on a Saturday, so this is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the planting and the countryside. Plus you'll be supporting an invaluable local charity, and helping to provide services for members of the community suffering from life-limiting illnesses.
