This comprehensive study programme has been designed for HCAs new to palliative care, or those seeking to update and improve their knowledge in all aspects of supportive and palliative care. The days can be taken in any order but Symptom Control is a two-day course and should be taken as a block.

Communication Skills for HCA's This basic level interactive study day is designed to improve the skills and confidence in communicating with patients, their families, carers and with the multi-professional team.

End of Life Care for HCAs These study days will enable the HCA to develop and improve their understanding of issues about end of life and bereavement care for both patient and carers. This includes the use of the integrated care pathways
