The Great Somerset Walk:
Taking place on Sunday 20th March 2016, the walk will be approximately 13km around Wimbleball Lake at Wimbleball Lake Country Park, near Dulverton, Somerset, TA22 9NU. Participants will walk anti-clockwise starting from the tea rooms, heading down to the dam before following the marked route around the lake and returning to the start point by the tea rooms. Please check back into the registration area on your return to receive your goodie bag and to let us know how you got on! Click here to look at a map of the route online or click here to download the route map and directions.
Registration will open at 9am and will take approx. 10 minutes, especially when it gets busy, so please allow plenty of time to register and prepare for the start of the walk at 11am. All walkers will start at 11am and head in the same direction. We estimate that the walk should take an average walker about 3hrs 30mins. Please ensure that you are comfortable spending this much time on your feet prior to the day.
The café will be open from 9am where you can buy bacon sandwiches, coffees, teas and more before you start the walk, as well as food and drinks to takeaway.
You are very welcome to bring your dogs to walk with you, but please keep your four-legged friends on a lead and clear up after them.
The car park is £2 per vehicle for the day.

There will be ribbons available for you to write messages on to remember your loved ones. These can be carried with you on the walk and then, at the end, hung on our display board which will be taken back to the hospice in Taunton.
Memorial: A period of reflection.
Prior to the walk at 10.45am we will be hosting a brief period of reflection for those who wish to attend. This will be very informal and will be a time to reflect on those who have lost loved ones and those who the hospice has provided care for. All participants are invited to join us.
