The Great Somerset Colour Run 2016

29 May 2016 | Hazlegrove School, Yeovil

  • test

Event Type: Fun runs
When: 29 May 2016
Location: Hazlegrove School, Yeovil,
Ticket cost: £7.50 - £15.00

Sunday 29th May will see the beautiful and normally sedate grounds of Hazlegrove School, Yeovil, receive a vibrant wakeup call in the form of St. Margaret’s Great Somerset Colour Run. While participants are running, walking, skipping or hopping the 5k route, an army of volunteers will be taking aim and throwing powder paint at hundreds of runners, making the kilometres race by!

Registration is £15 for adults and £10 for children with an option to purchase a white (of course!) t-shirt for £5. T-shirts are no longer available to purchase online but participants can also buy these on the day (subject to availability). If you have already ordered your t-shirt, these will be sent to you in the post closer to the event.

Along with joining a community of likeminded people looking to raise their fitness you'll be raising much needed funds to support the work of St. Margaret’s Hospice.

St. Margaret’s provides specialist palliative care to patients and their families in Somerset, who have a life-limiting illness. Available for both cancer and non-cancer diagnoses, St. Margaret’s provides high quality and responsive care based on need. St. Margaret’s has two In-patient hospices, a Community Team working 7 days a week, two day hospices, a 24 hour advice line, and offers support for friends, families and carers, all provided by specialist staff and volunteers. It costs £10million to deliver these services each year and without the support of the local community St. Margaret’s would be unable to offer support to over 3,200 people in Somerset living with an incurable illness each year.

The Great Somerset Colour Run is promising to be an unmissable family event, so whether you sign up as an incentive to keep the healthy lifestyle going, a team building session or  as part of your summer running programme, we can’t wait to see everyone taking part for such a great cause in such a colourful way!

Registration will open at 11am on the day and the race will start at 1pm.

Once you've signed up you can start raising sponsorship! Download a sponsorship form here and set up your online fundraising page here.
