The April Fool's Challenge has been organised by Malcolm Spencer after his father received care at St. Margaret's Hospice.

Malcolm says: "To help, in some small way, to support the efforts of this wonderful charity I wanted to develop a simple, fun and entertaining concept that would perhaps help to inspire others to do something challenging (and a bit foolish!) for this tremendous cause.

"The April Fool's Challenge is exactly that. It's designed to be open to all ages and abilities and simply involves setting yourself a challenge (perhaps even a foolish one) that can be completed on or around April Fool's Day.

"It could be a run in your slippers, a cycle in your pyjamas or maybe just a cake baking contest. It doesn't matter, as long as it's a challenge for you it qualifies you to be come an April Fool! :)

"My hope is that this unique fundraising project can grow to be come a fun annual event that helps to provide an increasing donation to this brilliant charity."
