This course allows you to explore the theory and evidence base enabling
you to provide effective bereavement support. By the end of the course you
will have explored the concepts of self and self-awareness in relation to loss,
identified the legal and ethical boundaries for safe client-centered bereavement
support, understood the concepts of coping styles and the support needs of
bereaved clients and understand your own limitations and support needs.

This module is designed to equip health and care staff, who have a role in supporting people who are facing or experiencing loss and bereavement, with additional skills and knowledge.  It will be of interest to a wide range of professionals and workers who may be involved in providing ongoing bereavement support.
