The Great Somerset Cycle - the hospice to hospice cycle ride. Cycling between our Taunton and Yeovil hospices, you'll get to take in the full beauty of the Somerset countryside in summer, while enjoying a challenge in aid of St. Margaret's Hospice.

The ride gives you the opportunity to start from either hospice.

You can set up a fundraising page through JustGiving or Facebook Fundraising.

Or you can download a sponsorship form  here.

Registration will be open from 8am. The ride will commence at 9am, where you'll be waved off by the crowds.

Refreshments will be available before and after the ride and for spectators throughout. There will also be a water station at the halfway point.

The majority of the ride will take place on quiet B roads which will be marshalled for safety with on course mechanical support available.

There are 2 distances to choose from, 38 miles (from one hospice to another) and 76 miles (from one hospice to another and back again).

You can view the route here, as well as downloading gpx files which can be uploaded to Garmin devices.

Sadly we have had to postpone our Great Somerset Cycle, due to take place on Sunday 5 August.

We have not taken this decision lightly and appreciate that you will be as disappointed as we are.

Unfortunately, due to a number of external factors, the number of participants who registered this year has not been high enough to make the event viable and, as a charity, we cannot afford to stage it as originally planned.

However, we are pleased to say that we will be rearranging the event in Spring 2019, please check our website for updates.
