The team at HR GO Recruitment in Bridgwater are keen supporters of St. Margaret’s Hospice.

Their latest fundraising initiative was a raffle and tombola in the town’s Angel Place Shopping Centre. Many of the prizes were donated by the firm’s clients and ticket sales raised £290.

Managing director Sharon Aldridge took part in the Colour Run and the Great Somerset Cycle to raise money for the hospice last year. She is looking forward to doing the bike ride again this summer.

“I’m Bridgwater born and bred, and I’m very passionate about my local area,” said Sharon. “I have friends who work for St. Margaret’s Hospice, so I know about the amazing job they do caring for people in our community.

“St. Margaret’s is our chosen charity to support and we’re looking forward to continuing to raise money as well as awareness of their fantastic work among our clients and staff.”

Sharon and her colleagues Leanne Sheppard and Vicki Hingston visited St. Margaret’s Hospice in Taunton to present their latest donation to community fundraiser Terena Young.

Terena said: “We’re very grateful to Sharon and her team for their continued support. We need to raise £9.5m each year to enable us to support thousands of people across Somerset who are affected by life-limiting illnesses.

“The support of local businesses is vital in ensuring we can be there for everyone who needs us.”
