You will be supporting the corporate fundraising team through engagement with donors. 

Your support in engaging with corporate supporters will further strengthen relationships gained throughout Somerset, helping to raise more funds for patient care.

Role Purpose

  • Helping the Corporate Fundraiser with keeping the database up to date, as well as day to day admin duties
  • Helping to thank supporters for donations through letter and email
  • Making contact with supporters over telephone promoting hospice events and campaigns
  • Collection of funds raised, visiting corporate supporters to provide fundraising equipment/leaflets, and furthering the presence of the hospice within the workplace of supporters

  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Enjoy interacting with people
  • Computer literate with experience of databases a benefit
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Comfortable using the telephone
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and committed
  • Flexibility

  • Knowledge of Somerset and its business will be beneficial

Requirement

This role will be based in our Taunton hospice and shifts can be one per week, or fortnightly; this can be flexible to suit. Minimum 6 month commitment. Volunteers must wear their ID badge while carrying out their role.

Support offered

Induction training and on-going supervision, expenses, and support sessions. You will be volunteering under the guidance & support of the Corporate Fundraiser.
