Gardener - Yeovil Based in Yeovil 16 hours per week £7,556 per annum (based on a full time salary of £17,474.86) Estates and Grounds Maintenance at St. Margaret’s Hospice is entering into an exciting phase of development. As such we are looking for a part-time gardener to join our Estates Team and to provide organisation, supervision for volunteers and delivery of the garden maintenance service required to operate St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice and its subsidiary companies efficiently and to cost. The successful candidate will work along side the Estates team and will have responsibility for the daily maintenance and development of the garden and grounds. They will have a knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations that impact on their activities to ensure our patients, staff and visitors remain safe. The successful applicants must have: A passion for gardening with proven experience and knowledge plant and tree care. Experience with hand-mowers, ride on mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, leaf blowers etc. A flexible approach, be motivated and able to work well as part of a small team; to supervise a small team of garden volunteers.
