You will be supporting the Grants and Major Gift’s Team by identifying key supporters, charitable trusts and other organisations for funding opportunities; helping to raise more funds for patient care.

Role Purpose

  • Researching and identifying charitable trusts, councils and organisations that are supportive of funding adult hospice care
  • Keeping accurate records of all opportunities identified and informing the Head of Grants & Major Gifts of those opportunities
  • Writing compelling grant applications for lower value grants e.g. to smaller trusts, parish and town councils etc
  • Assisting the Head of Grants & Major Gifts with day to day admin duties, as requested.

This role will be based in our Taunton hospice with flexible hours to suit. Minimum 6 month commitment of at least four hours a week. Volunteers must wear their ID badge while carrying out their role.

Support offered

Induction training and on-going supervision, expenses, support sessions. You will be working under the guidance and support of the Head of Grants & Major Gifts and the Trust & Major Donor Assistant
