Are you an innovative and motivated individual who has the experience and skills to head up and further develop St Margaret’s Hospice community services?

As one of the largest hospices in the UK, we see investment in community services for our patients and their families as a priority.

At a time of change across all of health and care in Somerset, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a sustained difference to palliative and end of life care across the county, further developing both St Margaret’s services and partnerships with other organisations. 

The successful post holder will understand the challenges and have a strong desire to ensure that palliative and end of life care for people across the community is planned, responsive and joined up.

Our community services include community teams based across Somerset, 24-hour advice and response line, and outpatient and support teams. Working with other services to ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families is a key component of the role.

The post holder will:

  • have strategic vision and the ability to bring teams along with changes and developments in services;
  • have a clinical background;
  • experience of multi-disciplinary / multi-agency working;
  • a track record in leadership and service development;
  • be flexible and able to travel to different sites and communities across the county.
