How Can You Support Us? Find out how you can support us by working in partnership… Sponsor a St. Margaret’s Hospice fundraising event We hold a variety of fundraising events across the year, from our Bubble Rush to our Great Somerset Night Walk. In 2016, St. Margaret’s events raised £317,000 and saw over 3000 participants all joining the fun to raise money for the hospice. By sponsoring a St. Margaret’s event, you’ll be able to build brand awareness before, during, and after the event, as well as generating positive PR as you support a charity that has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for over 37 years. Sponsor a St. Margaret's service There are a number of services your company can sponsor: Sponsor a Community Nurse Sponsor a room in your local hospice Sponsor our Family and Bereavement Support Lodge at your local Taunton hospice By sponsoring a St. Margaret's service, your business can build company/brand awareness and enhance your position as a socially responsible company in your local area. Your business name/logo will also be highly visible in relation to the service you choose to sponsor, among other benefits. Charity of the year Choose St. Margaret’s as your charity to support for 12 months. We will work with you to create a bespoke calendar of engaging events and opportunities, tailored to help meet your business goals and corporate social responsibility needs. This is a great opportunity to unite your staff behind a worthwhile cause that they can identify with and feel passionate about. We will be on hand to advise how your staff can get involved in fundraising activities, volunteering time and skills, events, challenges and more. Employee fundraising There are plenty of fun ways for your staff to raise money that directly supports our work. From organising a bake sale to a fancy dress day, we'd love to help you develop great fundraising ideas that relate to your business and can be applied in your work environment. Employee volunteering Volunteering for St. Margaret's Hospice provides a very real opportunity for staff development, both individually and as part of a team. From helping out at our events, to gardening at our hospices, we have a wide variety of opportunities that staff can get stuck in to. If you think that your staff workforce can help St. Margaret's Hospice by volunteering in any capacity, then please do get in touch. Match funding Your company can offer employees the chance to increase their fundraising efforts through match funding. Match funding means your company matches the amount raised by an employee, usually up to a certain amount, effectively doubling the employee's donation. Cause-related marketing Cause-related marketing is a great way to raise both money and awareness. While a company can benefit from association with a cause important to the local community, St. Margaret's can benefit from improved awareness and a percentage or specified amount from each product sold. Payroll Giving A regular donation to St. Margaret’s Hospice every pay day can go a long way. Over a year a £10 donation would pay for a home visit from one of our specialist nurses assisting with pain control. We’re asking employers in Somerset to sign up to a Payroll Giving scheme, offering employees a way to support St. Margaret's Hospice, completely at their employee’s discretion. Please get in touch if you feel this is something you would like to offer your employees, or if you would like your employer to offer this. Put on an event From glamorous balls to playful quiz nights, organising an event in aid of St. Margaret’s is a great way to promote your brand, engage with the public or other businesses, while having fun too. Make a donation It's so easy to make a donation which will help us continue to provide our vital care. Please click here to make a donation online, or why not consider our Pay for a Day initiative?
