Gibbins Richards

Gibbins Richards are kind sponsors of both our 2016 and 2017 Bubble Rush.

Mark Gibbins, Director of Gibbins Richards, said “We chose St. Margaret’s Hospice as our Charity of the Year and sponsored the Bubble Rush for two years running as it’s a charity that is geographically relevant to all three of our offices, and is a highly respected Somerset charity with strong name awareness that all three directors hold in very high regard.

"Obviously the principal objective in supporting St. Margaret's is the desire, as local business owners, to ‘give something back’. Our business is only sustainable due to our local economy and population and it is all too easy to conduct business, bank the money, and to then forget that we are all part of our local community. As such, we all have a responsibility to take care of one another in some way. St. Margaret’s Hospice is therefore a wholly appropriate and worthy cause for us to support.

"From a staff perspective, having the opportunity to involve staff in fundraising has proven to be highly beneficial in terms of being able to take them away from the daily work routine as well as for team building. Bubble Rush proved to be a fantastic event for staff; they all had a great time, mixed with colleagues from other offices and allowed us, as owners, to offer genuine praise for their willingness to give up their spare time on a Sunday.”

"The role of St. Margaret's Hospice in our community is one we are very proud to support. The work St. Margaret's carry out helps so many local families and we are very fortunate to have this facility on our doorsteps.

"Cycling through the beautiful Somerset countryside, supporting a great cause and riding with other like-minded cyclists will all add up to a truly memorable day."

Spillers

Rob Durie, Sales Director, said ”We really had a great day at the Colour Run, especially as we were able to use paint which matched our company brand! There was a great deal of competitive paint throwing and the staff had great fun. Our banner flags could be seen from a long way off so it was also a good awareness opportunity. The company nominated St. Margaret's Hospice as its chosen charity in memory of their founder Andrew Durie, who passed away in January 2015."
