Are you a Physiotherapist who shares and believes in our values and wants to make a positive difference by working with an innovative and respected organisation that delivers highest quality support to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across Somerset?

St Margaret's Hospice has ambitious plans to reach more people who need our specialist care and these roles are key to our success.  We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, confident and innovative qualified Physiotherapist to join our Therapy Services team. You will be delivering care and support for in-patients, out-patients, day care and within the local community working at both the Yeovil and Taunton Hospice sites as well as visiting patients across Somerset.

As a Palliative Care Physiotherapist you will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating therapy assessments, with responsibility for implementing a range of effective and efficient treatment programmes for individuals and groups.  You will identify and undertake physiotherapeutic interventions utilising various treatment modalities, e.g. rehabilitation, fatigue management, anxiety management, and pain management. As such you will be required to take an active role in motivating patients to engage in their treatment programme, working towards agreed goals.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills and have drive and passion for continuous professional development.  Support and supervision will be provided by a team of experienced Physiotherapists.  Experience of working in a palliative care setting would be an advantage, but is not essential.

In return we offer a rewarding role in a stimulating and positive working environment, the opportunity to develop new skills, and the satisfaction of supporting the St. Margaret’s team to help make each day count for individuals and families in Somerset
