St. Margaret’s Hospice is the leading provider of palliative care and support to adults with life-limiting illnesses in Somerset. We are the fourth largest hospice in the UK and specialise in advanced symptom control to bring comfort, peace and dignity to patients and their families, helping them to live life to the full, to make every day count for the time that is left.

This is a great time to consider a hospice career as we are currently investing in our services to ensure that the care we provide always has the patient at its centre. There will be opportunity within the role to take part in a rotation between the In-patient and Community teams.

At St. Margaret’s we care about our staff. We have an ongoing programme of training and support. We believe in investing in our people and understand that their satisfaction is inextricably linked to patient satisfaction.

Working for St. Margaret’s brings many other benefits including:

  • The opportunity to remain in NHS pension scheme if already contributing (or have been within last 12 months). Alternatively you can join the hospice pension plan
  • Transferring your continuous service date, for the purposes of holiday entitlement, when you join the hospice directly from the NHS or another hospice
  • Free car parking
  • Confidential free 24 hour Employee Assistance Programme offering:
    • Counselling
    • Support
    • Information and advice
    • Vitality wellbeing health promotions.

It is important that we recruit people who believe in our values, as they are at the very heart of everything we do. If you want to make a difference and share our passion for the work of the hospice, we would very much welcome an application from you.
