Support Groups Volunteer Coordinator 22 hours per week £10,672.90 per annum (based on a full time salary of £17,949.90 per annum) Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for a St. Margaret’s Support Groups Volunteer Coordinator based at one of our hospice sites, in Yeovil or Taunton. The purpose of this role is to help lead and support our trained volunteers who run our highly valued St. Margaret’s Support Groups across Somerset. The Support Groups welcome anyone affected by a life-limiting illness and provide a listening ear, information, signposting, advice and support. The post holder will manage a team of Support Group volunteers including responsibility for recruitment and ongoing support and training. The role also includes meeting visitors to the groups, promoting and raising awareness of the Support Groups at a regional level and contributing to their evaluation and development. Applicants should have relevant experience in a community-based environment or care setting, with volunteers. The post holder will be expected to support the St. Margaret’s Support Group volunteers across the organisation currently located in Yeovil, Taunton and Minehead.
