Up, Down & Dirty Events - Terms and Conditions For the attention of parents / guardians of under 18 years old participants at Up, Down & Dirty events I understand and agree that I have read and fully understood all the terms and conditions. I understand and agree that I have read and fully understood the terms of the disclaimer set out. I will confirm that a parent/ guardian will be required to sign a copy of the disclaimer on behalf of the child entered at the event. I will also be required to sign a copy of the disclaimer if running with a child. I acknowledge the nature and potential hazards of my or my child’s participation in the Up, Down & Dirty event. I authorise all medical and surgical treatment, X-ray, laboratory, anaesthesia, and other medical and / or hospital procedures as may be performed or prescribed by the attending physician and/or paramedics for my child and waive my right to informed consent of treatment. This waiver applies only in the event that neither parent / guardian can be reached in the case of an emergency. I give permission for my child to participate in the Up, Down & Dirty events. I release St. Margaret’s Hospice and individuals from liability in case of an accident during activities related to Up, Down & Dirty, as long as normal safety procedures have been taken. I agree to provide all information required truthfully and accurate to the best of my knowledge. Terms and conditions All participants must complete the online entry form and pay the relevant fee due. Children under the age of 12 are unable to participate in the event. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult registered to take part in the event. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Parents and guardians must agree to accept the disclaimer information for their child before booking. Parents are responsible for their child/children's safety. The booking fee is non-refundable and contributes to the cost of staging the event. We ask that those taking part raise sponsorship in aid of St. Margaret's Hospice. However, we do not ask for a minimum sponsorship. The event has been organised with safety being paramount. By entering the Up, Down & Dirty event, you do so entirely at your own risk. Participants are welcome to walk, run or jog the event. This is not a racing event and no timings will be given. Please ensure that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear as the ground is uneven in some places. Every participant shall make sure that his/her health is in a condition that allows him/her to take part in the Event, and consult a doctor if necessary. We recommend that you wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. We are unable to accommodate dogs at the event. By registering for this event you are agreeing that any official photographs taken can be used by St. Margaret's Hospice for any promotional purposes. St. Margaret's Hospice have taken all reasonable steps to eliminate the chance of injury but there is a certain minimal risk in every activity and you should withdraw from the event if you have any doubts. St. Margaret's Hospice, its employees, agents and volunteers accept no liability whatsoever to participants or spectators in respect of any loss, damage or personal injury which may be sustained in the course of this event other than personal injury (including death) caused by our negligence. Liability cannot be accepted for any damage, injury or loss arising from the negligence of participants (whether through failure to observe the rules of the event or otherwise). Please note that the data consents and preferences you indicate on your registration will be applied to all team members you are registering.
