Admin Volunteer - Supportive Care Team

St Margaret’s is looking for people to join the team who will bring their skills, talent and enthusiasm to the heart of our organisation as we respond to the changing needs of our community.

This is a voluntary role.

Location: Yeovil

Day/Times: Wednesday or Thursday

Frequency: Weekly/fortnightly

 

About you

If you have qualifications or experience in the use of IT systems, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access (as required), a high standard of communication skills and customer service, and are looking to learn and develop your skills in these areas and can share in our vision and enthusiasm to make a difference, we would love to talk to you about this role and the work of St Margaret’s.

Time commitment

  • The commitment is variable, length and frequency of shift are discussed and agreed by the service coordinator, the voluntary services coordinator and the volunteer prior to commencement of role
  • You are required to attend induction and update training

 

Brief description of main tasks and activities

The admin volunteer is responsible for providing administration support, to staff within a specific service area, whilst tasks will vary depending on the service area, typical tasks may include:

  • Entering and/or analysing data, electronically.
  • Electronic filing and scanning.
  • Answering and responding to phone calls.
  • Preparing information packs.

You will need to enjoy being part of a team, but able to undertake tasks without being supervised.
