If worry or fear of breathlessness is affecting your everyday life, or if fatigue is stopping you from doing the things you want to do, St Margaret's Hospice Care may be able to help.
Our breathlessness service is run by experienced physiotherapists who can help if you are feeling anxious, isolated or frustrated by your breathing. Staff will discuss your symptoms of breathlessness and low energy, to assess how they affect your everyday life and independence. We will explore how to achieve your main aims in everyday life, through teaching a wide range of techniques including trialling equipment. You will receive 1-3 sessions of approximately 1 hour, depending on your particular needs, and we can even visit you at home if needed.
Relatives and carers are welcome and encouraged to attend any session.

Before I attended the clinic, my breathing was out of control and I was having frequent panic attacks. The team have helped me reduce my anxiety and now I feel much calmer and able to cope.
